BOX Baseball - Game 23 vs. Toronto

Game 23 - When Chimpy comes to the plate, he thinks only one thing: Swing as hard as possible. Turns out this particular chimp can swing quite hard.  Roy Halladay was 5 outs away from a complete game victory when Chimpy entered the game as a pinch hitter and bashed a 2-strike pitch 460 feet onto the walkway beyond the batters eye in centerfield. That tied the game at 2.

The game stayed tied for another 5 innings. Finally, in the bottom of the 13th, in front of the few remaining die hard fans who sat through a steady rain that lasted the entire game, Joey scored the game winner on a pinch-hit single by Jenny.  Jenny was named player of the game, as she correctly pointed out after the game that while Joey's hit was important as usual it took a woman to come in and finish the job.

Mike started and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings. The BOX bullpen then combined for 7 shutout innings. Becky pitched the 12th & 13th to pick up the win.
