BOX Baseball - Game 41 vs. Philadelphia

Game 41- It was a festival of doubles as the BOX wrapped up their weekend series versus the Phillies.  Katy K. returned from the DL and got the win, while Woodyard went 4-4, raising his average to .429, and scored 3 times.

Despite not having home run power, the BOX managed 5 doubles and also had 5 stolen bases. Hooray smaller ball!

Agati was player of the game again after knocking in 3 runs for the second consecutive game.

Dave left the game with a back injury after he dove to catch a ball and collided with the left field wall.

BOX Baseball - Game 40 vs. Philadelphia

Game 40- A quarter of the way through the season and the winning formula for the BOX is rolling along. Werley responded to his one game rest by giving a player of the game performance and the pitching was good enough to score a 5-2 win.

Bill Heaston got off to a rough start when Jimmy Rollins led off the game with a home run, but the BOX came back and tied it in the bottom of the first when Joey doubled and Matt knocked him in.

Agati knocked in a run in the second and two more in the 4th. Werley scored twice and stole 2 bases.

Bill left the game in the 6th with runners on second and third and only one out. Greg came in and struck out Jayson Werth and Pat Burrell to get out of the inning.
